OSSOLATREK
Ossolatrek was established in Domodossola from an idea by a father and his son: being both in love with mountain, they want other people to enjoy the feelings of walking on a mountain trail, into the woods, into typical villages, as well as reaching the peak of a mountain or snowshoeing on white snow-covered prairies.
We know Ossola Valley and its surroundings very well and we will guide you to discover its beauties, the "classical" and iconic ones as well as the most unusual and original ones.
Our excursions aim to the discover of always new places, colors, sounds, but also a discover made of the encounter with local people, their traditions, rich dishes and gastronomy.
In short, we want you to get emotioned of Nature's and Man's wonders by walking.
Our way of guiding is made of accurate preparation, care of participants' needs, authority but with empathy, moments of amusement, sharing and socialization.
We propose excursions with small groups (maximum 20-25 participants ) to give you an experience made of quality, the right interaction between the Guide and the participants and a guiding devoted not only to the trail, but also to people.
Our experience allow us to talk and describe the territory, showing its environmental, geological, flora and fauna, historical and anthropic and enogastronomic aspects.
We propose walks, excursions, trekkings, thematic routes all year round, both for groups and individuals, scheduled or on demand according to specific needs and desires.
SILVANO BIANCHI
Hello, my name is Silvano.
I live in Domodossola and I've been a mountain lover since my 5, when my parents took me on my first excursion at Alpe Devero: it was love at a first sight!
Since then I've never stopped exploring and discovering my beloved Ossola Valley, as well as Verbano and Cusio areas, walking on countless paths and itineraries, long excursions and mountain crossings on these wonderful territories located between Alps and Lakes.
I love discovering the ancient historical routes, such as the Stockalper Route from Domodossola to Brig, the Merchants' Route of Vigezzo Valley, the Strà Granda at the feet of Monte Rosa, the Antrona Route and the Gries Route, used by merchants along the way from Milan to Inner Switzerland.
Many other routes and paths at lower altitude - along with their historical, naturalistic and ethic characters - allow the hiker to go deep into the fatigues and hard works our ancestors did to make theirliving on the Alps. Walking on these paths, we can nowadays taste in person how their life was like.
Since 2013 I'm a Hiking Guide (GEA) qualified by Regione Piemonte and regularly registered in the official list of hiking guides of Verbano Cusio Ossola province.
FABIO BIANCHI
Hello, my name is Fabio and I was born and raised in Domodossola, in the heart of Ossola Valley and Western Alps, a few steps from Switzerland.
I'm really passionate about mountain, since ever: if I think of my first memories as a child, I was walking on home's mountains.
I like walking in places I know well since my childoood, but also on new trails, chasing landscapes, places, situations off the beaten tracks.
I'm a Hiking Guide (GEA) qualified by Regione Piemonte and regularly registered in the official list of hiking guides of Verbano Cusio Ossola province.
I know well the mountains and lakes of my land, but I often also explore the surrounding areas (Canton Vallis, Canton Ticino, Lakes Maggiore and Orta, Valsesia, Aosta Valley).
I love travelling and hiking in other parts of Italy, as well as Europe and far Countries: among my destinations you may find Madeira, Norway, New Zealand, Japan, Namibia, Cambodia, Vietnam and China.
Since 2013 I cooperate with an Italian Tour Operator, guiding people on travels and trekkings in Madeira, Azores, Norway , Iceland, Finland, Oman, Canada, Ecuador and South Africa.
